Sleeping Through the Night

The boys are now almost four months old and I decided that it was about time for them to sleep through the night...mostly because I want a full night of sleep. I have decided that the best invention for this is ear plugs, otherwise I would be awake all night listening for them. I can still hear them through my ear plugs, but it is much quieter.

Last night was my first night attemping a full night's sleep. All was good until four and five when Wesley woke up and decided he needed his pacifier and then Jonah chimed in a little after five, however I was able to ignore the cries and they went back to sleep.

Part of me was ready for full night's sleep, however my mind and breast were not. I woke up several times wondering if I had slept through them crying and then laid there with my mind wide away and thinking "I need to go back to sleep." My breasts were rock hard and were complaining that there was no middle of the night feeding.

I told Ryan that they did pretty well and he told me not to get too excited as it was only one night. I am excited because it was the first night in many that was full of sleep.
